Brides and grooms who wish for a woodsy wedding do not need to sacrifice elegance and style, as evidenced by this editorial I photographed in an up and coming venue on the outskirts of St. Louis. Jim and Kristi Cozart are the owners of this beautiful property, which was once a boys scout camp named Camp Skullbone. Do not let the name fool you, because there is nothing scary about the lodge they have renovated and restored. The large stone fireplace was the perfect backdrop for the rustic centerpieces and bouquets by Farm Girl Florist and the naked cake with gold leaf accents by Sweet Design Bakery. I am an outdoors girl who also loves pretty details, so photographing portraits with beaded and flowing gowns in a natural setting was a perfect match. Special thanks to Kristi Cozart and Brianna Sparrgrove for hosting and coordinating this lovely editorial.
