After taking Eurostar from London, we spent a week in Paris. We ate pastries, crepes, and baguettes every chance we could get, then subsequently burned off those calories by averaging 30,000 steps per day. Our first evening in Paris was spent on Le Calife, a highly recommened Seine dinner cruise boat that takes you past the Eiffel Tower at the top of the hour when it sparkles.
While it is very difficult to choose favorite locations in Paris, I must say I particularly loved the historical covered passages and gardens. The relaxed cafe atmosphere with amazingly good food everywhere you went was also a highlight.

Because Paris cannot be contained in one blog post, the journey continues on in Part 2 here.
